Not being notified of new tickets Used to work, but suddenly stopped working

I have installed the plugin and it worked well for a while, then it suddenly stopped notifying of new tickets with the pop-up message. It still updates the numeric totals on the bar at the top of the browser, but doesn't bring up the message window anymore.

Has anyone come across this happening to them?

Okay I've actually figured this out now.

In the Admin section of Kayako the 'Open' status had the setting for 'Display In Main Ticket Listing' set to 'No'. I've set it back to 'Yes' and the notifications of new tickets are coming through again.
