The functions for "submitTicket" and "postTicketReply" look like they would work quite nicely to migrate tickets from a system that was written in-house to kayako. Is there some way to use the admin account to migrate the tickets over, as opposed to having to logging each user in with their username and password? Additionally, is there some way to change the date of the tickets?
Cheers,
Dave

I have gotten this to work to automatically create a post, my only trouble is figuring out how to make a reply appear from a staff member. I realize the code was written only to allow for the writer of the ticket to reply, however was wondering if it is possible to modify it slightly to allow for a staff response.

You would be much better using the impex tool (in setup directory) for this purpose.

You'd think so, but it's written in a way that is altogether too complicated for what I need it to do. All I want is to move tickets from one db to another, and the program is not one of the ones that kayako decided to support. The impex script is only good at install time, and is very confusingly written, it obscures how to do a simple task such as how to putting a &*%$# ticket into kayako. Your program by far is better documented, and with very little revision can do what I need.
Only problem I'm still working out is how to use the postTicketReply function with a different email then the thread starter, to show the admin's reply as the reply.

You would need to modify the code to do this. There is no "on the fly" setting.
