This tutorial will guide you through the process of integrating Viper Cart with Invision Power Board so that users can login with the same email address and password they use for your main site (the shopping cart).

1. Click the link below to download the integration files.
Attached File  invision_power_board_integration.zip (2.68K)
Number of downloads: 12

2. Open up conf.php and edit $LOGIN_CONF['REMOTE_DB_DATABASE'], $LOGIN_CONF['REMOTE_DB_USER'] and $LOGIN_CONF['REMOTE_DB_PASS'] to match the credentials needed to access your Viper Cart database. You can also edit $LOGIN_CONF['REMOTE_DB_SERVER'] and $LOGIN_CONF['REMOTE_DB_PORT'] = ''; if required.

3. Go into the directory /sources/loginauth/ inside your Invision Power Board install and create a directory named "vipercart" without the quotes.

4. Upload auth.php and conf.php (that you downloaded from this post) to the newly created directory.

5. Go into the admin control panel of Invision Power Board, click "TOOLS & SETTINGS" at the top then click "Create New Log In" under the "Log In Manager" section on the left.

6. Set the fields to the following :-
Log In Title: Viper Cart
Log In Description: Leave Blank
Log In Files Folder Name: vipercart
Log In User Maintenance URL: http://www.DOMAINNAMEHERE.com/account/modi...HERE.com/forum/
Log In User Register URL: http://www.DOMAINNAMEHERE.com/register/ind...x.php?act=Login
Log In Authentication Type?: Pass-Through
Log In Form HTML: Leave Blank
Log In HTML Replace Form: No
Log In User Log In URL: Leave Blank
Log In User Log Out URL: Leave Blank
Log In Enabled: Yes
Log In User Name Type: E-Mail Address

That is all you need to do. Your customers should now be able to login to their accounts using the email address and password that they have registered on your site (the shopping cart).
