Rules
In order to prevent problems, please follow these rules when using our forum. If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to contact one of the Moderating Team or any of our Staff. These rules are in conjunction to our general site Terms of Use.
Free Software
By downloading any of our free software, you will automatically be subscribed to our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time, however.
Moderation
Moderation is done by selected Forum Moderators and Staff at our company. If you are unhappy with a decision by a Moderator, you should contact a Staff member who can alert Management of an issue if required.
Accounts
You may only register one account on our forum. Any additional accounts will be deactivated and you will receive a warning.
Avatars
We do not set any specific rules for Avatars other than they should not break any other forum rule. Any Avatars deemed inappropriate by the Moderators or our staff will be removed and may result in a warning.
Signature
We do not set any specific rules for Signature other than they should not break any other forum rule. Any Signature deemed inappropriate by the Moderators or our staff will be removed and may result in a warning.
General Posting
Please do not capitalise the whole topic title or post. This will not lead to a faster reply but will lead to a warning.
Spamming
Spamming is characterized by the starting of threads or replying to existing threads with content that does not contribute anything to the forum, be it off topic or on topic. Examples include empty message bodies, bodies with few words that have no relation to the current thread or discussion and those posts that state they are spam, either to annoy, advertise or increase a member's post count. Resurrecting old forum posts is also not appreciated unless it serves a worthy cause to the forum. This determination is made by the forum Moderator or our Staff and is not open to debate.
Illegal Discussion / Links
We do not permit the discussion of or linking to anything illegal (including, but not limited to, Warez, unauthorized music or movie distributions, etc).
Competing Software / Services
We allow you to discuss competing software / services for the purpose of suggesting features they have, etc. Inappropriate posts in this area may be removed. This determination is made by the forum Moderator or our Staff and is not open to debate.
Inappropriate Content
We do not permit any content not suitable for a general internet audience (pornography, for example).
Respect
No flaming, personal attacks, verbal abuse or mocking of members. Any posts like these will be deleted on sight and you will receive a warning.
Cross Posting
Creating multiple topics / posts with the same content in multiple boards / topics is not permitted and will result in a warning.
Source Code
We do not permit the posting of any source code to our software due to this being an open forum. We do, however, permit small parts of our code to be published for the purpose of explaining to users how to implement a modification or similar.
Warnings
After 3 warnings, you will generally be temporarily be banned. Any further warnings may result in a ban. Any serious rule breaking will result in a temporary or permanent ban. Banned members are not permitted to register a new account and if found to be doing so will be banned instantly.
